No Global Warming Bill This Year?
The Hill is reporting that “The House may not vote on a climate change bill this year, according to a high-ranking Democratic leader.” That leader is Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, and he says the problem is that a bill probably wouldn’t pass the Senate, according to the paper:
Van Hollen, 50, became the highest-ranking House Democrat to say that even if an agreement is reached, the House may not vote on a cap-and-trade bill if the bill appears to have little hope of clearing the upper chamber.
Also, we’re hearing from friends on the Hill that markup on the Waxman-Markey bill has been postponed a bit but is still marching its way through the process. Let’s hope the economic realists will keep adding their voices.

Time to get the AGW religion out of my kitchen.
