CNN’s second meteorologist to challenge notion man can alter climate
The Business and Media Institute has this report:
CNN Meteorologist Chad Myers had never bought into the notion that man can alter the climate and the Vegas snowstorm didn’t impact his opinion. Myers, an American Meteorological Society certified meteorologist, explained on CNN’s Dec. 18 “Lou Dobbs Tonight” that the whole idea is arrogant and mankind was in danger of dying from other natural events more so than global warming.
“You know, to think that we could affect weather all that much is pretty arrogant,” Myers said. “Mother Nature is so big, the world is so big, the oceans are so big – I think we’re going to die from a lack of fresh water or we’re going to die from ocean acidification before we die from global warming, for sure.”

I worked for 20 years as a weather observer/analyst/forecaster for the US Navy. I never bought into this Global Warming scam!
Anyone who has ever opened a textbook on meteorology will see (usually in the first chapter – sometimes on the first page) that the largest most significant factor influencing the Earth’s weather is… (drum roll please!)

Let me see if I have this right, Al Snore and his ilk would have me believe his computer models predicting doom & gloom years from now, but the weather man/woman can’t accurately predict what the weather will be next Friday!
Global warming / climate change will go down in history as the biggest hoax / money grabbing scam ever perpetrated on the American people, the world for that matter!

Interesting responses. Personally, I don’t feel the way we’ve all collectively as human beings have been doing things (Greed is King, the poor are stupid or lazy, and lying as a matter of SOP etc.) isn’t working very well.
Let’s see how things have gone under the ethical mores of today:
Real Estate is in free-fall., The US Banks have initiated a global economic collapse., There actually are expanding zones in the ocean that are devoid of virtually all life., and What a single person sees in a lifetime is now considered a geological time scale.
The logical dilemma we as humans collectively face has the exact same dynamic as the Paradox of the Church. If there is Climate Change, and we green-up, we live in the Garden of Eden. If we don’t go green, most of us will probably die. If there is NO Climate Change, and we green-up, the Earth becomes a cleaner and healthier place for us all. If we don’t go green and continue as we have, eventually the inorganic toxic chemicals will accumulate in the environment causing humans to become “biologically non-viable”.
What we lose for an unwillingness to curb our own behavior is literally everything. What we gain by that unwillingness is nothing. Logically, why wouldn’t we want to have gone green in the first place? Rudolph Diesel designed his engine to run on what we now call, “biofuels” in the first place. And for a single good reason.
It is NOT all about the money, PERIOD!
Al gore is the biggest purveyer of falsehood alive! He gets a pulitzer prize for his falsehood while he lives in a 17,000 square foot house.
He buys carbon offsets for this “anti green home’”. I understand he owns or controls the company that sell him his carbon offsets!
And what value do carbon offsets, which are trees planted , have ina country that has more trees than we can ever harvest?
It is great to see that more people are now coming forward to challenge the so-called consensus on climate change. After years of Al Gore and his liberal cronies generating all of the hot air (pun intended) it is a relief that people are finally starting to wake up and fight back. We need more Chad Meyers out there to use their scientific credentials to back up the truth and refute the enviro-scare mongering.
Oh wow, the weather guy doesn’t believe in climate change. Why should we care? His only job is to read the three day accuweather forecast. Meteorology is different from climate science. Everyone knows that. Well, everyone that is except the Republican climate change deniers on this blog.

Matt, you do not get it. It is about money and an idealogy. My money. Everybody’s money. Carbon credits, carbon taxes, higher energy bills, carbon laws restricting our freedom of travel and recreation. And all of it based on at best weak unreliable evidence and at worst lies, like Al Gore’s movie. Think about it, worldwide nothing truly out of the ordinary has happended yet. I wish it would get a little warmer in Ohio. So far no luck.
